Το Κέντρο Αειφορίας (CSE) ολοκλήρωσε με επιτυχία το παγκόσμιο πρόγραμμα “Certified Sustainability Practitioner Program in Shipping – Advanced Edition 2026”, το οποίο πραγματοποιήθηκε για πρώτη φορά στον Πειραιά 27-28 Απριλίου 2026, υπό την Αιγίδα του Ελληνικού Ινστιτούτου Ναυτικής Τεχνολογίας (ΕΛ.Ι.Ν.Τ.). Το πρόγραμμα, που εμπιστεύονται επαγγελματίες από κορυφαίους διεθνείς ναυτιλιακούς οργανισμούς όπως οι A.P. Moller–Maersk, COSCO Shipping, Danaos Shipping και Evergreen Marine, ευθυγραμμίζεται πλήρως με τα πρότυπα, τις απαιτήσεις και τις στρατηγικές προκλήσεις της παγκόσμιας ναυτιλιακής αγοράς.
Το πρόγραμμα, αυτό που ξεπέρασε σε συμμετοχή κάθε προηγούμενο , επιβεβαίωσε την αυξανόμενη ανάγκη της ναυτιλιακής κοινότητας για εξειδικευμένη και πρακτική γνώση σε θέματα βιωσιμότητας και ESG.
Η εκπαίδευση φιλοξενήθηκε στις εγκαταστάσεις του Ελληνικού Ινστιτούτου Ναυτικής Τεχνολογίας (ΕΛΙΝΤ), ενισχύοντας τη σύνδεση της πρωτοβουλίας με την ελληνική ναυτιλιακή τεχνογνωσία και την καινοτομία.
Στο πρόγραμμα συμμετείχαν στελέχη ναυτιλιακών εταιρειών, μεταξύ των οποίων οι Prime Marine Management Inc., Performance Shipping Inc., Andriaki Shipping Co. LTD, ALMI Tankers S.A. και Silver Lake Shipping Company S.A., προερχόμενα από καίριους τομείς όπως το compliance, το HSQE, το technical management, τα χρηματοοικονομικά, τη στρατηγική και τη βιωσιμότητα.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της εκπαίδευσης, οι συμμετέχοντες εστίασαν σε κρίσιμα ζητήματα για τον κλάδο, όπως:
- Ανάπτυξη στρατηγικής βιωσιμότητας και απανθρακοποίησης στη ναυτιλία με τα νέα πρότυπα ΕSG
- Εξελίξεις στο κανονιστικό πλαίσιο (ΕΕ και ΙΜΟ) και οι επιχειρησιακές τους επιπτώσεις
- Η σημασία του ESG reporting και της Εξωτερικής Διασφάλισης στην χρηματοδότηση με τα νέα τραπεζικά κριτήρια
- Βιωσιμότητα στην εφοδιαστική αλυσίδα και πως επηρεάζονται από τις νέες κανονιστικές απαιτήσεις της Ε.Ε
- Υπεύθυνη επικοινωνία και αποφυγή greenwashing
Τάσεις και επερχόμενες νομοθεσίες
Η ενεργή συμμετοχή και το υψηλό επίπεδο των στελεχών ανέδειξαν τη σαφή μεταστροφή του κλάδου προς την ενσωμάτωση της βιωσιμότητας ως βασικού παράγοντα χρηματοδότησης, διαχείρισης κινδύνων και δημιουργίας αξίας.
Η υλοποίηση του προγράμματος πραγματοποιήθηκε με την υποστήριξη των ESG Shipping Awards International, ενισχύοντας περαιτέρω τη σύνδεση της εκπαίδευσης με τις διεθνείς βέλτιστες πρακτικές και την αναγνώριση της βιωσιμότητας στον ναυτιλιακό κλάδο.
Successful Completion of the Global ESG Executive Certification Program for Shipping by the Centre for Sustainability Excellence (CSE) with the Support of H.I.M.T.
The Centre for Sustainability Excellence (CSE) has successfully completed the global “Certified Sustainability Practitioner Program in Shipping – Advanced Edition 2026,” which was held for the first time in Piraeus on 27–28 April 2026, under the auspices of the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology (H.I.M.T.).
The program—trusted by professionals from leading international shipping organizations such as A.P. Moller–Maersk, COSCO Shipping, Danaos Shipping, and Evergreen Marine—is fully aligned with the standards, requirements, and strategic challenges of the global shipping market.
This edition of the program recorded the highest participation to date, confirming the growing need within the shipping community for specialized and practical knowledge in sustainability and ESG matters.
The training was hosted at the premises of the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology (ELINT), further strengthening the link between this initiative and Greek maritime expertise and innovation.
Participants included executives from shipping companies such as Prime Marine Management Inc., Performance Shipping Inc., Andriaki Shipping Co. LTD, ALMI Tankers S.A., and Silver Lake Shipping Company S.A., representing key functional areas including compliance, HSQE, technical management, finance, strategy, and sustainability.
During the training, participants focused on critical issues for the sector, including:
- Development of sustainability and decarbonization strategies in shipping in line with new ESG standards
- Regulatory developments (EU and IMO) and their operational impact
- The importance of ESG reporting and External Assurance in financing under the new banking criteria
- Sustainability in the supply chain and how it is affected by new EU regulatory requirements
- Responsible communication and the avoidance of greenwashing
- Emerging trends and forthcoming legislation
The active participation and high caliber of the executives highlighted the clear shift of the sector toward integrating sustainability as a key driver for financing, risk management, and value creation.
The program was delivered with the support of the ESG Shipping Awards International, further reinforcing the connection between education, best international practices, and the recognition of sustainability in the shipping industry.
