In connection with DNV’s Greek Technical Committee meeting held on the 25th of May, and in connection with our discussions on the forthcoming decarbonization requirements and challenges, we decided to arrange an extra ordinary meeting straight after the completion of the works of MEPC76 (concluding on the 17th of June) to discuss the final decisions and their implications.
Great interest was expressed from different regional DNV Committees and other local Bodies to attend this extra ordinary meeting, and we are more than happy to invite all the members of the following Committees/Bodies to attend: DNV Greek Technical Committee, DNV Cyprus Technical Committee, DNV Greek Shipping Cooperation Committee at London, MARTECMA, Technical Group of UGS and H.I.M.T. (Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology).
Attached is the Agenda of the event, which will be arranged in two steps, as follows:
DNV is arranging on Wednesday 23rd June two Webinars which will be offered world-wide, headed “MEPC 76 in focus – CO2 emissions regulations adopted”. These are the same and will take place at 10.00-11.00 and 17.00-18.00 Greek time. This is an important step, so that in the next step b) we will save time so that we can spend most of the time on feedback by participants and discussions.
Please use the below link to register to attend one of the two of the above mentioned Webinars, at your convenience.

On Thursday 24th June we will arrange a remote meeting, at 15.30-18.00 Greek time, during which we will mainly discuss the new requirements and their consequences both to newbuildings and existing ships.
